I just had the chance to use this piece for an outfit and it was amazing. The color, the texture everything. I love it! Originally I bought the brown one but I love it so much. I decided to buy the blue one, and I am so happy I did! Thank you. Time catcher clothes

I do actually love this jacket. It looks and feels great. I coupled it with the fisherman's jumpers that are on sale here. Very reasonably priced too!

I'm delighted with my French, Corduroy shirt, really appreciated the emails to ensure I received the correct size, and am extremely happy with the fit, quality and design. I usually wear YMC, Folk, or Universal Works and this is definitely in the same league. Thanks Justin Tooting Bec London

Great quality and priced well. The only issue for me was the M size had sleeves a bit too long but not a big problem for alterations

Great fit, excellent quality. Perfect for a Scottish Summer.

Store owner replied: Love hearing this, great fit and quality is what we aim for. Perfect timing too!

Could use a liner.

1940s French Indigo Corduroy Chore Coat

Store owner replied: Thanks for sharing! Adding a liner is a great suggestion for a warmer coat. We’ll take note for future improvements.

This piece is lightweight. Fit is accurate for XL w sleeves being a tad short on the wrist. Won’t have it tailored because to tailor sleeves is $45 & this thing was only $75.00. Wrinkles badly so you’ll need to iron it. It’s more of a flimsy lightweight overshirt than an actual chore coat. I have high quality chore coats from Buck Mason & Taylor Stitch & other brands - - Timecatcher is not premium but I wasn’t expecting premium for $75.00 lol. Bottom line: It’s ok but will likely end up being donated after a few wearings. Would not purchase again but it might be ok for someone looking to keep cost down. All the best,

1940s French Corduroy Chore Coat

Store owner replied: Appreciate you taking the time to share such detailed feedback. Sorry to hear the weight and fit didn't hit the mark for you. This piece was built as a breathable option for warm-weather layering, but we clearly missed your expectations on density and sleeve length. We’re passing your notes on XL grading and fabric drape directly to our product team for future refinement. Thank you for giving us a shot. If you’re open to it, we’d love to help you find a heavier-weight piece that actually stays in your closet. Please feel free to reach out.

The cut is a little on the skimpy side, but still fits at XXL. I am a 48" chest and the coat is advertised at 50", so it should be a touch more comfortable. Excellent corduroy though and I love the colour.

Love the fit, the color, style and the feel of the coat! I am 5'10" and 170 lbs and ordered Medium.

Store owner replied: Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you’re enjoying the fit and overall feel of the coat, and we appreciate you sharing your sizing details, as it helps other customers as well.

Expected the material to be a bit thicker for the price. Tailoring seems good, the overall look is good, but it does not feel like it will last through 5-6 wears in the Spring.

Great quality and fits well, but upon arrival all of the button were extremely loose as if about to fall off. Disappointing considering this seems like an extremely easy part to ensure piece is ready to ship. Will now have to have this fixed myself

Love the fabric, but the cut is a little skimpy, but very nicely finished inside

Looks good. The corduroy is a little lighter weight than expected but jacket is well-constructed.

1940s French Corduroy Chore Coat

I’m impressed with this chore jacket. The photos looked good and despite this being priced more like a lower-end piece, I took a chance on purchasing. The chore jacket drapes really well, the cut and lines, especially the pockets and arms (high-cut armscye), are really nice. So it looks good standing and moving around. It’s a bit wider in the body than I’d like (would prefer a slightly slimmer cut) but still quite contemporary and not bulky. I’ve washed it and worn it only a couple times, so far it looks well made and like it will last. Again the price made me think “fast fashion” but it isn’t. It’s a light corduroy, which means a bit of thought when you hang dry to keep it crisp, especially around the plackets and facings. Recommend, especially for the price.

1940s French Corduroy Chore Coat

Loved it right away. Just what I was looking for, classy and casual, light enough for Los Angeles. Great classic look and feel, usable pockets. Wouldn't garden in it perfect for around the house and around town.

1940s French Indigo Corduroy Chore Coat

I must confess I was expecting this to be a bit heavier and more substantial from the pics online - it is very light weight. That said, it is a very nice jacket - very comfortable to wear and I have been complimented when I have worn it.
